Windows 8 App Contest Details

Microsoft has announced the successful submissions for the first round of Windows 8 First Apps Contest. Here is a list of successful entries that I know of:

Air Soccer by Imran Shafiq  @danglingneuron

Air Soccer is a port of my WP7 game Air Soccer Tour – Its a casual –  swipe soccer game available in 1 player and 2 player mode. Could not port tournament mode and other features due to time constraints.

No information is available on the entry, probably a port of his WP7 game Puzzle Touch – a neat casual puzzle game that breaks pictures into jigsaw puzzles.

FlipSaw by Ratish Philip – @ratishphilip

Jigsaw puzzle – details not available

Other Entries (I don’t have confirmation whether they made it to the next round)

  1. HoneyDo List did not make the cut. But I’ll finish developing it and have it ready for the Marketplace at launch.

  2. My app was called Easy Reader, it didn’t make it but I’ll definitely be polishing it up and submitting it to the Store when it’s open for submissions. 🙂
